Electrical

The Electrician’s job is to distribute and connect the customer’s electrical equipment to the power source provided by the Power Company. He installs and maintains the various types of electrical systems found in commercial and industrial facilities. This equipment includes lighting and receptacles, motors, heating equipment, control systems, and generators, just to name a few.

The electrician installs conduit systems from motor control centers or panel boards to all of the equipment that uses electricity. These conduits may contain power cables or control cables. Many of the conduit systems are exposed and must be installed to exacting standards in a neat and workmanlike manner.

The Inside Wireman’s work varies; one day we are retrofitting a multi-story air-conditioned building and the next day installing conduit in a ditch outside of the building. Electricians also install electrical systems in industrial facilities such as chemical plants and power plants. Each type of installation has specific electrical needs and infrastructure systems.
